Anyone know if people can buy from BMW the GP rear wing? I would assume they have to have some in stock somewhere for accident purposes or what not. ??? just curious.... [cause i want one, ]

They are really hard to get and really EXPENSIVE!!! Honetly you are looking at $3000 retail + install/labor.

Yep saw it yesterday! Brian's got one. Amazing Stuff! I guess its built into the rear glass on the hatch!!! You also need have the VIN number of the GP and "A really good reason". Honestly seeing it, not a bad way to spend 3k!

you have to have a GP VIN to get one? crap.

oh well...maybe if i see a GP i'll just steal the wing off of it. haha

Why not go with the fireballed APR Wing? Central Coast Coopers has it. Look for them in the vendor directory.

You'll need someone to bevel your back glass to fit the wing. It's not your simple bolt on.

I am almost positive you cant modify the glass once its tempered. BUT you can replace the glass with GP glass its definitly the cheapest part in converting to the wGP wing. I think retail/list was $240 for the rear glass. Oh yeah and it has no hole for the wiper arm which in my opinion is a major + since I dont see a need for a rear wiper anyway.
