Lowering Stock Seats

Has anyone found a way to lower the stock seats, beyond what is available with the crank adjustment? I'm 6' 2", and when I wear a helmet I have to rake the seat back quite a bit for my helment not to hit the ceiling. Can a Recaro or Sparco seat bracket be used to lower the seat? I don't mind removing the height and forward/aft adjustments on the stock seat if I can mount the seat on a bracket at the best position for me.

Any suggestions?

Just out of curiosity, does your car have a sunroof? Mine doesn't, and my helmet doesn't touch at all with the stock seat lowered all the way and sitting pretty much bolt upright and crowding the wheel for autocrossing. I'm 6'3", but we might be proprotioned a bit differently.

Yes, I do have a sunroof. And, I am fairly long from the waist up.
