Tail Light Questions...

Ok.. I know there are several topics on this, but I haven't found the answers to 2 of my questions yet..

1. Do people usually get the 20% or 35% film on their tail lights? or is there just one % on the film????

2. Would it just be easier to have the tint shop tint my windows and use the same % tint on my tail lights at the same time? or is the film different for lights?

thank you...

Allen

1. the tint is not listed as a precentage. it's dark or light in most cases...

2. cant use window tint. that's for the inside. the tail light tint is a thicker material designed for external use (lamin-x)

One last question... I noticed that on Outmotoring.com and Mossmini.com they dont give you the option for dark or light, but i have seen the option on another site, i just cant remember where...

So does Outmotoring and Mossmini use the dark or light one..???

most places only sell the dark. stickercity.com has them in dark and light but i'd shop around, they don't have the best prices.

also, tip: use a really hot hair dryer so you can stretch it to cover as much of the lens as you want...

I have the kit from Moss MINI, which is dark, and I think it's like 18g, so it's thick.

dumb question: what is the film you are putting on and is this over the tail lights to make them dimmer? confused.....isn't it better to have better visibility?

see polizei's post for an example..
visibility?! this is a style thing
the red is still reflective in the day and at night there are no issues w/ dimming...
