Interior/Exterior I have left-over rubber paint and will do your OEM tow hook...
http://outmotoring.com/mini_cooper_tow_hook.html
I'll pick it up and dip it if you can Paypal me, say, $25. That should cover the shipping. PM me and I'll get you my Paypal address and I can get your mailing address. I'll be out there at Outmotoring on Saturday anyway, so if you can get the money to me by then I'll be happy to pick it up. I'll post the status of the dip paint after I do this unit and see how many more I can get out of that can.
As for the color, I really couldn't tell you to be honest. I've never held one up against a CR car, but I've seen plenty of red Coopers with red hooks and they seem to match pretty well. The color in the first post is actually pretty close - it's a bright red - closer than the annodized aluminum ones definitely (which are lots "pinker" than the body paint).
I only have red, but I've seen the dip in blue, yellow and black as well:
THIS IS WHAT I USED IN RED - works great on wrench handles, screwdrivers, pliers and other things, too...

ImagoX:
Do you still have enough paint left to do one more hook? I have a CR and I think that a red hook would look great on my S.
Please let me know and, if you are still interested in painting one up, I'll get mine out of the boot and send it on up to you ~ I'll try and dig up a rocket ranch souvenir and enclose that in with the hook.
thanks in advance
Brian

If the paint's still viable (I'll check when I get home) then I'll post in here letting people know how many more I think I can do. Even if it's not, I'd be willing to get a new can and do people's hooks for a small fee - however after shipping the hook to me and paying for the SASE to send it back, it would probably be about the same price as a can of the paint (they only cost like $12). It would spare people the labor (which isn't that difficult), but dipping them evenly does require a bit of finesse to avoid drippies and blobs. Of course, if it gets messed up, all you need to do is cut off the dried paint with a craft knife or box cutter and try again...
GOOD NEWS...
I checked my dip can, and the tin-foil I put across the lid seems to have sealed it pefectly - the paint is still liquid and looks ready to dip. I can probably do at least 3-4 more if anyone needs it done.
So far, I've heard from:
Minjae
J A Blazer
eager2own
Crashton (will give me his hook on Saturday).
How I do this if you need to send me the hook is that I ask you send a pre-paid SASE with the hook so all I need to do is dip it, let it dry, and then mail it back in your envelope. If you feel generous and want to slip a few bucks into the envelope for my time, that would be great - I'll toast your name with a cup of coffee or something.
NOTE: I double-dip the hooks and they look great, even after several months (mine's been on the car all Winter and looks good as new). If, however, you actually USE the hook to get winched out of mud or snow or something I'd expect that the coating would almost certainly be stripped off - this is merely a cosmetic change to make the hook look good and protect it from rusting and is not a powder-coat or durable covering. It does look sweet, though...

PM me if you need my mailing address,
Matt,
ignore my PM. I will let someone else take advantage of this.
I'm gonna try to do this with the black that I found at Lowe's. I will test it on mine first to make sure I can do it without drips, and will post again to see if others are interested in black ones.
Thanks.

Yeah, if anyone else gets a can of this stuff, put a tight layer of foil over the can THEN snap on the lid. It's lasted for months. I was told that after only a few weeks it would dry up, but my left-overs still look like they did when I cracked open the can seal. You WILL have lots of extra paint - I've done 5 hooks and several tool handles with my can and still have about 60% left.
