Interior/Exterior Bonnet Stripes
I picked up my mini cooper s on Wednesday and the bonnet stripes applied by the dealer were bubbled. The dealer is going to replace them, but now i'm not sure if this is going to be a common problem. Any Feedback appreciated. I LOVE MY MINI!!!!!!!!!!
No, this is not a common problem. I would be led to think that from what you described that problem was the installer goofing it up.
The stripes are simple to install, but one has to take their time when doing it. I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure they will be perfect the second time around.

PS - I installed my own... see them at my site

Have had my MCS for over a year now and no bubbling, no problems whatsoever.... except for the scratches the cat made when climbing onto the car, but I can't blame MINI or the dealer for that....
I had the dealer install my bonnet stripes a year ago. They did a terrible job. There were bubbles all over the place. I took it back that afternoon and showed them their goof. I brought it back in the next day and they replaced them. I haven't had a problem since.
I ended up putting on boot stripes myself this past friday. If I knew that it was that easy I could have done the bonnet stripes myself too.

My MINI arrived with bubbles and asked the sales person about it. He said that the bubbles would flatten out in a matter of a month or less depending on outside temperature.
And he was right, it did flatten out on both stripes within 4 weeks total. I wasn't too bothered by it...I just had to wait it out.
