Custom roof graphics

I have a plan. I'm not disclosing the details right now because I'd love to get it done and unveil it here

But it involves a custom roof graphic. Who has one, do you love it, and who did it?

Custom roof graphic by AesthetiCreations. I love it! It was featured in the latest MC2 Mag in the AesthetiCreations ad!

Ahhhh cool. Just the sorta answer I was looking for. I already emailed Mike but I'm guessing (?) that he's out at MTTS so I don't expect to hear back for awhile.

Do you mind if I ask how much that ran you?

And do you prefer having your sunroof blocked like that? That's one of my issues right now...I have PW/PW and will have to PW-out the sunroof to do what I want...

I am working on my roof graphic for MTTS. I have to get finished tomorrow as I leave on Tuesday. I picked up a large format vinyl cutter CHEAP and I am doing it all myself.

Dunno where Mike is right now. I would assume he is somewhere MTTSing. I I will PM you how much it the decal cost.

The decal is see through so I can still see out the sunroof. Here is the thing about having a see through decal though; if you want a full roof/sun roof decal then the color on the graphic see through part on the glass will be significantly lighter than the graphic on the roof because it is perforated. So it will appear about 30% lighter. I wanted this custom graphic on the whole roof, but once Mike showed me other whole roof see through decals he had done I opted to cover just the sun roof.

You can cover the sunroof with a solid decal, but you won't be able to see anything but the reverse image of your graphic on the decal when looking up through the sunroof.

Since you are PW then it may not be an issue. My wife's HB MINI has a white roof with a white see through decal with graphic and it is great. Hope this helps you make you decision. - larry

Yeah, Mike's at MTTS...

Hey glassdarkly, where'd you get the sun shade? I'm usually parked in the garage or covered parking, but when I'm not would love the shade that matches Luau Luie's stripes!

So are Aesthetic Creations and Cooper Flags the most common vendors for roof graphics?

Exactally. I like cooper flags, I made a lame post about them and feel guilty.

nothing very detailed, but did a custom yin yang with matching colors to the car, and custom outline so it would show up better. Love it and have never had a problem with it, almost 3 years on the car now.

Here's mine. Did it myself in PhotoShop on a Mac, and had CooperFlags output it.

It is not a sun shade. It is just a beach blanket that my wife has laid over the rear deck. It sure does look like a shade though! Unless, you are talking about the sunroof and I got that graphic from AesthetiCreations.

Thanks! You should ask Mike from AC about pricing. He and my brother installed it, and it wasn't especially quick or easy. Ten months later it's holding up fabulously and still looks great!

Just had my custom Cooper Flag top installed today. The Pop Art painting BLAM by Roy Litchenstein (1969?). Brings out the squadron leader daydream I sometimes get while lead footin' my 03 MCS around town. Chalk up another flamer to the old squadron leader, Ducks....
