Alternative badge mounting on front

I have always loved the classic gear badges. There were two problems in mounting them on my MINI. 1. They block air flow to the radiator. 2. They are difficult to mount without using the pricey OEM Badge Mount. Plus I just didn't like the look of the badge mounted on the sloped upper grill or way down low on the lower grill. I certainly didn't want to drill holes in my new MINI to place the badge where I wanted it.

Here is my installed badge using my screwless method.

Here is a link to company that sells every concievable metal gear badge you could want. I am in no way connected to this company.

I like the alternate placement. I have avoided badges for some of the reasons you cited, but I would consider mounting them this way. Thanks for the tip!

My plate is mounting in my tow hook so its not blocking my Radiator. So with this I recon my 2 grill badges are not blocking that much air.

Cool idea!
