Sure looks almost identical to the new Fireball wing, in fact I think it is from the description on modacar as an APR wing. . . .

Hey COR BLMY,

I'm a little south of you and have the Saclam wing I just picked up in the paint show right now getting a coat of Alpine white.. It's a little more subtle than the APR wing but a little more agressive than the stock S wing.. I should get it back next week.. Here are some stock images..

yeah ... I was pointing out the "VERY similar" to FBall.

What ever happened to the M7 wing ???

M7 Carbon Fiber M-Wing - Currently Unavailable
$409 - SKU#10014

Our carbon fiber M-Wing is currently undergoing a re-design and improvement, and will be returning mid-first quarter 2006. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is the new 100% carbon fiber "M-Wing CF". This incredible carbon wing weighs a scant 2.5 lbs! The finish is an incredible deep gloss over a twill weave carbon fiber. The construction of the wing is a hollow center with aluminum inserts on the ends for stronger bolt attachments.

The attachment points for the pedestals in the wing is aerospace-grade Rivnuts. The wing can be adjusted up to 30 degrees from horizontal.

We still need to convert the new " drill less " mounting system from paper to metal Its on our list but not at the top at the moment .

As soon as you do it ...(any idea of time ???
I'll buy one !!!

With F Ball and "others" on the market a lot of wing purchasers will be going elsewhere.

Big talk as the GP wings have started many conversations.

I'll even purchase an OLD model if I could find one.

Anybody else just love the stock wing? I have an S and wouldn't trade it for the world. I love how subtle it is, yet it's also very aggressive.

Meh, to each their own. M7 products are great, but I just HATE the "ricy" look of the big wing, especially "sticking out" like it is, and not attached to the body (the whole wing, like the stock on is, or at elast enough of it). Again, not bashing M7, just stating that I dislike ALL of the aftermarket wings. And I could be wrong, but isn't a wing useless on a FWD car? I mean, do you really need more downforce on the rear?

I agree with you , the aftermarket wing of any type is certainly not for everyone. As for ricey I really didn't like the angular end caps that came with mine originally and had a set which are more rectangular with rounded ends to try and minimize that . If you are just going for looks a wing that does not stick out is fine but then it isn't in a posistion to do much. As for there need on a FW car it appears that the JCW challenge cars found a reason to have them and I don't think they are known for non functional add ons. As for ours when paired with our front splitter they do make a differance and I have the lap times to prove it

The stock S wing looks very out of place on the car.

It doesnt flow with anything and its clear it was an afterthought.

The wing I have on my car is what should have come on the car from the factory...

That being said, I would rather have that APR or the M7 wing on my car. they go nicely with the car and arent overkill.

I believe both are functional, also.

Downforce it good on any car, fwd or not. At speed, the back of the MINI seems to like to lift.
