Question About Temperature Guage

Hello,
I'm pretty new to NAM, but I was wondering if someone knew a place where i could order a temperature guage for my 04' MCS? For some odd reason the 04' MCS does not come with a temperature guage. i have the temperature of the outside weather on my GPS, but not of the car temperature. DOes anyone know of a place where i could buy an aftermarket temp. guage?

Best Regards,

Ken Lieber

Furthermore, The lack of a temperature gauge is common for those with navigation as well. Instead of a conventional gauge, we have a digital fuel tank meter and a red temperature indicator to show if the car is running in red. I am debating on installing a boost and temp or voltmeter and temp gauge in the lower cubby in the center console my self. I'd like it illuminated in the matching amber of the dash but its been a challenge to find.

MINI has a factory aux gauge pack for the cubby below the toggles. It has a volt and oil temp gauge. It is a match for the existing gauges.

What temp gauge are you wanting? Inside cabin temp, oil, water?

Shoot, who needs that? I'm either too hot, too cold, or just right... and I make adjustments as needed.

thanks for that insight. It's very bizarre to me that there is no temp. guage. THe lack of temp. guage is making it a pretty big risk for me to go on long road trips (especially since i have 78k miles on my Mini! It's still runnin' like it's brand new) if there is a place that you find these guages that would be gr8.

thanks again

if i can fit the inside cabin temp, oil and water guages in the cubby hole below the toggles that would be great, but the oil and water would be the two guages i want first

What exactly are you talking about. All MCS have the water temp gauge. That isnt an issue.

If you want Oil Temp gauge, that comes in a standard OEM Retrofit kit (auxiliary gauges) about $250 plus install. They go on the bottom on the radio stack

Inside temp gauge, go get one from Walmart for 79 cents

The water temp gauge in the MCS is basically an idiot light. It is located just across from the fuel gauge on the speedo. The needle never moves much unless something is really wrong. I don't have a problem using it, but some like to have a true reading of the water temp.
