Brushed Metal Interior Trim

Hey guys, I am looking for brushed metal or stainless steel interior trim, kind of TT style. I was about to get chrome, but I think it is overwhelming. Then I thought maybe it's possible to buy a set and sand off the chrome coat. What do you think?

Do you know any tuning company around LA that would make custom rings?

Most of the "chrome" interior parts are actually plastic beneath the chrome, so it might not be as easy as you would like.

Hmm! I thought they are aluminum rings. Thanks!

I may be wrong and will have to check my wife's Cooper when she gets home today. I thought for sure it was all the same sort of chromed plastic like all of the exterior chrome.

Yupp. The OEM mini chrome is plated plastic. Don't try and sand it!

You may want to search European suppliers as I've had some intermittent luck sourcing stainless steel trim from there which would brush up nicely. Still searching for a set of alloy downtubes though.

I'm really interested in having a brushed metal trim too (and am working on a couple of ideas for things I could do myself), but I wondered how coating the chrome parts with a clear satin spray would work?
Something like this was what I had in mind...
I suspect it wouldn't actually look great, but it might be worth trying for a few bucks!
Other than that, you're probably going to have to get someone to machine replacement parts for you from aluminum and have it finished nicely. If someone was to do it in bulk, the prices probably wouldn't be too bad for individual parts...

Yesterday I found a page that offers TT rings for MINI and they recommend to use silicon for installation. First of all there isn't sufficient information and the sample image quality is very poor. Second, it's not a complete set and I have no idea how well they'll fit. I think the best is to find a tuner that will make a set.

I have seen the european real chrome rings on a UK website, but believe that I have also seen an advertisement in MC2 magazine for real metal rings from a non european company, you may want to search there.
