Interior/Exterior can this strip be removed from rear bumper?

can this strip be removed from rear bumper?



can this crome strip be removed?

i would like to paint this in same color as the mini ..

I looked at the part at www.realoem.com and it looks like it is installed using double sided tape as I couldn't see anything that looked like it was attached with hardware.

But it definitely is a separate part and you will be able to remove it for painting. Looks like the part is available as a chrome piece and an unfinished piece. I know that painting over chrome will be difficult and it might be easier to order the unchromed part for painting.

Really? Because I've been wanting to get rid of the chrome accents since I bought my MC.
