I finally found my digital camera and got around to taking some pictures of my cradle install. I got it done about two weeks ago, and everything's working well. The only negative is that during the installation, the shop accidentally scratched my right column, but before I even picked up the car they had ordered me a new part from mini and will be installing it at no charge tomorrow. The mic was a little hard to photograph, but it's right behind the clock and in front of the mirror.

That looks sweet! Where did you get the bracket for that? I want one for my phone but nothing has impressed me yet. Any info?

 

The shop ordered it and everything for me, but when I go in to get the scrath fixed, I'll ask him what company the bracket is. Oh, I also forgot to give props to the shop...Custom Audio in Lynbrook, NY. They're really great to work with!

 

Great setup -

Was the mic for the phone installed by the factory or did your audio shop install that as well? Do the car speakers double as a phone speaker?

 

The mic was installed by Custom Audio as well. The hands free kit came with seperate speakers, which the shop hid (I don't even know where they are...they sound like they come from somewhere in the door panel) so no, it doesn't go over the stock speakers.
