JCW Spoiler Install Without Glue

I kind of like the JCW rear wing but don't like the idea of glueing this thing on the car. It's not that the glue will not hold it's the crap you have to go through to get it right (and not get the glue all over the place) not to mention the $40 odd for the glue pack.
Has anyone attached theirs by drilling new holes through the tailgate and screwing it on? Or can anyone tell me if they've handled the wing and can see if it has a solid base that can be drilled and tapped for screws?
Thanks
