One Brake light Useless?

Hey guys, my girlfriend has an '02 MCS and I just installed the clear tails with the OEM "Clear look Bulbs" and After I was done I noticed that the top bulb doesn't do anything, the middle is signal and bottom is brake and night driving light (I think that is the order of the bulbs) anyhow, what is the top bulb for. Does it not do anything whatsoever? Thanks,

I forget and it is too cold here to run outside and check, but is the top the back up/reverse light?

The top light does nothing unless you mod it to do something. A true dummy light.

The top bulbs are for the optional "Rear Fog Lamps". If equipped with this feature, they are operated by a toggle on the switch panel.
Do a search for "brake light mod". Plenty of info.
