Rubber bonnet hooks

I found these while looking at rear light stuff on mymini.com. I'm assuming that they are used to keep the bonnet shut when racing or whatever. Does anyone have a pic of these installed? The description doesn't give much to go on as far as exact location for install.

I don't have a pic, but have seen them before. One piece mounts on the top edge of the bumper, and a smaller piece mounts on the front lower part of the bonnet. The piece on the bumper then goes up and hooks on the piece mounted on the bonnet.

Hopefully my "technical" description helps answer your question. I'll try to find a picture-maybe then it will make sense.

So are they visible from outside or do they mount under the hood somehow? It seems to me that they go on the outside, but the only pic I found online made it look like they were under the hood somehow.

Thanks,
Annette

Annette I had a set of those on my old Corolla rally car eons ago. I used them to keep the hood closed. There were made from a rubber that didn't like sunlight very much. In a year or so they had cracked & broken. I wouldn't recommend using them on your MCS.

They look bad imho. I would rather do nothing, internal latch if possible, or some traditional pins.
