Pics of rectangular driving lights?

A few months back, I saw some pics somewhere of a MINI with rectangular driving lights but can't seem to find them now.
I have ordered all of my new lights (clear rear and fog) and now just have to order the driving lights to complete my lighting project. I am pretty sure I'll go with the Hella FF200's but wanted to see some examples of the rectangular lights before I make this last decision.
So does anyone out there have pics or a link to some pics?
Thanks,
Annette

Are those foglights or driving lights? Just wondering as they are positioned like fogs and its hard to tell from the pic

A nice compromise between round and square are the ff300

One of many places that have info - http://www.pangaea-expeditions.com/p...prodindex.html

Good luck with your decision Annette :~)

Rick, thanks for posting the pics. I just want something a bit different, but not sure how different I'm willing to be

smokey, I LOVE the ff300 but they don't seem to come in chrome. So I guess they'd have to be painted black or pepper white and I'm not sure how much that would cost me or if I could reasonably do a good job of it myself.
Annette

P.S. Sorry for the late response, I have come down with some nasty bug and can't seem to drag myself out of bed to do anything other than feed the kids and the animals! And feeding 40+ chickens, 4 dogs and 4 cats is about all I can deal with, kids got spaghettios!

Here are the ones I saw in a pic mounted on a MINI. They were mounted on the grill.

Can any light have any beam pattern? I'm not sure which beam pattern I would need, I'm guessing pencil. I already have fog lights. Cornering looks like overkill for me.

Ok, I think I found my own answer. According to this, pencil beams are no good unless you have a "bunch" of them. So Driving or European pattern is probably my best option. Not sure it matters all that much since I don't plan on actually doing any dessert rally racing, but I need to be ready just in case

I installed these KC 26 series driving lights yesterday. Still working on the wiring. I fabricated the mounting brackets using 1" 90-degree aluminum angle bar (1/8" thick). Basically, I followed the mounting style used for the Alta driving light bar, except I have mine concealed behind the front license plate. After mounting the two brackets to the bumper, I used 3 1/2" long 5/16" diameter bolts to poke through the lower grille. I cut two small pieces of 3/8" diameter tubing to take up the slack, then bolted the cross brace to them.

I love the way this car looks. Those lights behind the grille are exactly what I want to install on my car. Is there a "how to" on that anywhere on the forums?

Thanks for posting.

Since the KC 26 series lights were low-profile, the plastic lenses ended up melting from the excessive heat the Optilux 100W H3 bulbs put off. So, I replaced them with a set of Westin 4x6s, which have glass lenses. Just compare this photo against my previous posts. They're putting even more light downward, so I have to be careful not to adjust them too high.

Sorry, Jerry I thought I emailed you back. Sometimes things sit in the send spinner forever and then show up in drafts weeks later.
Anyway, yes I'd love a set of dragons and one for the hubby, too. Silver or lime green is good. Make sure your return address is visible, I found an awesome decal for you and will mail it to you. I think you'll love it!

Changing daytime lights

Sorry for late reply, but I want to change my 04' Mini (Base) stock driving lights/daytime lights, similar to what this Mini has. What size are they? Are they easy uninstall & replace?

Don't know what those lights are, but as far as install, if you wanted them there, you would probably just need a pair of these:

http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...-brackets.html

And splice into the factory wiring for your exsisting driving lights. (that is if you're removing them, if you're thinking about just adding these you would at least need to wire them direct with the use of a relay and/or switch, using only the factory wiring for 2 pairs of driving lights would not be advisable.)

They were KCS 26s (2x6"). Actually, I don't have those anymore. I put 100W bulbs in them, and the housings melted because they were plastic.

I now have Westin 09-0405 lights installed. They only come with clear lenses and are made of glass. You can still pick them up on Amazon for ~$64.
