My recommendation is to see what the discount is with the current orders. My tally shows that we're at $2,916. If not let's keep this thread active so we can see who else might be interested.

Just to clear up David's quote, the Drawtite unit that I sell as part of my wiring kit also pulls power directly from the battery and pulls ONLY a signal from the cars wiring to protect against any overload of the cars wiring, computer, warranty, etc.

Thanks

Alright guys. We did it, thank you. Here is the deal. The discount is valid through June 30th. Once you have placed your order, using the 'contact us' link on http://www.miniaturetrailer.com/, send a message to Brent advising him of your purchase, that you are participating in the group buy, and provide him with your nam screen name. You will then be credited the 20%.
Thank you all for your participation. Here is the final list.

I have a question regarding locking hitch pins. I ordered the hitch for an '05 MCS with rear fog light and I'm wondering if there are space limitations.

This site, http://www.truckstuffusa.com/lockinghitchpins1.html, has various types in 1/2". Will any of these work?

too late to join?

I would like to buy the trailer hitch, draw bar w/ trunk bag and the wiring harness for my 2006 MINI Cooper convertible (non S- no fog or backup light). Can I get the 20% discount- i was going to join in but messed up my post (newbie) Also, I'm assuming I can tow with a manual transmission, right? Please advise. Thanks lots.

MIGHT be able to swing this by June 30, but am still reeling after taking delivery on my new MCSC.
I may have to gamble and hope that another group buy could be arranged at a later time. But I'll set a reminder on my calendar for June 25th, just in case.
Will post again if I can definitely do it.

Can the bike rack be part of the group purchase?

Can folks not on the "final" list still get in on the group-buy pricing? If so, I'd be interested in a hitch.

Just completed this install, purchased prior to this group buy but waiting for a good weekend to do the project. It's perfect! The instructions are clear and detailed, the tips are sound, the photos helpful, and in a few hours, you're done! Love it. Thanks to MINIaturetrailer for a tight product!

The Miniature hitch is great:

A similar trailer is also sold by Harbor Freight:

After getting in on this group buy, I finally installed the hitch last weekend. Quality product and easy to install!

I purchased a Swagman XC 2 bike rack. http://www.autoanything.com/bike-racks/69A1573A0A0.aspx It's sturdy, doesn't sway, and the middle bar even folds down for access to your boot. Reasonably priced compared to the Thule and Saris hitch racks.

I quickly loaded the kids' bikes on it for a test fit. I could've oriented the pedal on the bike so it wouldn't be so close to the hatch but no amount of shaking the rack or bikes made it contact the car. There's also a provision to add a small padlock on the ratchet mechanism that holds down the bike frame.

I love it. Thanks guys for a great product!
