hey,

my coop is in the shop and i want to get the wheelarches, front bumper, rear bumper painted. im gettin the side skirts dark silver for sure. but i dont know whether to paint the fenders, front bumper (now aero kit bumper i ordered ), and rear bumper glossy black or dark silver. im kind of leanin to dark silver, but i kind of like the contrast w/ the black top. so im not sure. i prob will do it all dark silver.... any comments..
i like the black in the Modded Mini section but im not sure... the monster mini has a black top and body color wheelarches

??????

also i dont know what either paint will do to the visual look of my 17 inch s-lites??

The looks are up to you but.....I like the contrast also. I feel that glossy black arches would look good with the black roof MINI. Also consider that the arches will get dinged and scratched . I would think that black would be easier to match in any repaint. It will happen. Post a pic when you get it done. I am planning to do it eventually also.

hmm, i dont know wat to do, the plastic looks cheap though. i prob will do it all dark silver, like the monster mini, that one is puer silver, but looks good w/ the black top.

Hate to agree with CooperSpeed .... but black is the way to go.
Seen it both ways,
The color code arch makes the car look somewhat sofisticated.
The gloss black makes it look a little "bad".
Do what makes you happy, paint can allways be changed.

ooooh ...

Went to the body shop to pick up the DS/MCS with painted black arches.
Did not take the car, the arches looked awesome, but want to have the
black grills on the aero re-shot to match the glossy black of the arches.
The car looks so much more "complete" with the paint over the plastic parts.

enjoy

One thing to consider about going black.....you are almost going to get scratches and nicks right away. Black is a ard color to keep looking new. The wheel arches are going to take a lot of abuse. Just by opinion, but something to consider.

yup i contacted dealer and told them to do it all dark silver  i hope it looks good and it is only paint if i decide to change it later! my mini is gonna look sweeter than the SVC one so no worries!!

now if i only could get the dealer to install the bottom original grill lip on my aero kit bumper ill be good to go! i hope i will be able to do it if they cant
