just Aero sides and painted trim all around...

First of all, has anyone just done aero side-skirts and nothing but the sides? Does it look okay?(any pictures)...okay I guess this is where I get flamed for not searching - but I honestly looked...for about a minute. Oh come on, I need to build my post count up somehow ... Anywho, also I was wondering what I could expect to pay for getting all the black trim painted on the car? Thanks for any help

We have the full aerokit on both of our Mini's. We got the total aerokit and the wheel arches painted for $700.00 each car.

I've seen it. The sideskirts are the parts that make the car look lower on the aero kit.....you won't be dissapointed.....it dosen't look 'unfinished' without the aero bumpers...

yep, thats what I like about it...makes it look lower - and I like that look. So i was thinking of making it look lower without actullay having to slam it to the ground and kill my ride.

Well...

I nailed a raccoon one day, and ended up replacing the bumper with the Aero bumper, just the front. I had all the trim painted to match, and I like that look better. The aero side skirts are ok, but way too expensive for me. The stock back bumper and the Aero bumper are not different enough for me to care... It looks really low with the trim painted all around.

Kenchan...

Nah.. it's just if I'm going to dump some cash for body kit stuff... screw the aero kit...

Note: Some ****** bought out the teammightyminiz website and hasn't changed the registration, no note of change, nothing. It's now a RC car site. No clue what happened to the original site. There was a lot of stuff in there I had linked to. I only managed to find these pictures cached. Anyone know how to get the rest of this topic from google cached? Lame.

Hey Tit, How do you like your Mille Miglia's? are they more on the heavy side or light side (compared to the S-lites)? Those (in silver) are on my list of wheels to decide from.

Any MINI parts dept should be able to get them. Got mine from Classic MINI. I got the ones for my LY/LY from them, and just the other day ordered some for my new HB/S MCS.

For pics, I've got some in my gallery on my LY/LY MCS.

Here you go

Note: This isn't mine, and the pictures aren't mine either. I've tried to get ahold of this guy; only one place sells this stuff in the US, apparently the manufacturer of the body kit is overseas, and he got a really good discount from the manufacturer. I'd love to get ahold of them, and see if they'd sponsor.

Also, those wouldn't be my choice of rims. I'd probably keep my stock Indie Blue and white 19" ADR GT Sport rims, though I'd probably have to find them a little wider than 7.5"

I really like the way he disposed of the trim lines. I don't like the visible lines on the front and back bumper. Fenders, maybe, but it makes the bumpers look ugly.

I wish I could have fender flares that wide - to put some real rubber under the car...but the sides and bumpers are quite distracting

I had really looked into going this wide for the racecar. Not this kit, but another that this one was taken from. After long talks with many that are more knowledgeable then myself, I decided against it. Unless you are modifying suspension pickup points, a car set up like the one above will just plane handle badly. It may look cool, but I would bet that it's a pig in the twisties, and quite slow on the long straights.

I am interested in bringing a few of these kits into the country,
I have sent an email to Konigseder to inquire about becoming a distributor.

Anyone out there interested in this kit.

Let me know

thanks
Victor

Well, someone does sell them in the US, but they claim to be the only ones.

http://www.estrictlyforeign.com/asp/...egory=1&ID=886

Would you be able to outprice them?

Onasled

Onasled,

What would make it bad? Having wide rims? The vents would not only allow the exhaust idea that one guy had (though I'd want one on each side), but it has definate potential for brake cooling.

I wonder if anyone has extended the axles and suspension to fit something like that.

Of course, I'd probably want the Helix Turbokompressor with that widebody... Dunno if slow would be a problem.
