Seat Airbag Resistor on 06 Models

I have an 04 fitted with a Sparco Milano. I installed the resistor and the airbag light never came on. I have an 06 on order and was wondering if MINI had changed anything that would not let me use the resistor again.
Anyone used the resistor 3.3 ohmn 2 watt effectively on an 06?

From what I understand the 05 cars not sure if the 06 is the same, but consist of a few extra wires and I have not see anyone with a fix for the 05 cars. If anyone can come forward and speak up, please let us know if there is a workaround as I want to get a replacement driver racing seat for my car.

What are the "few extra wires" you mention? Where did you read this? The only wires should be the seat belt tensioner and the airbag (unless you have heated seats then there would be extra wires). Are these what you are referring to?

Never mind - I saw the post. It referred to the passenger weight sensor to enable the passenger air bag and does not apply to the drivers seat which I have.

The 3.3 resistor will NOT work on the 05 mini the "extra"wires are for the passenger side air bag disable.

Anyone know what can be done for the airbag light and the airbag off light? for the 05 06's?

Take apart the tach and just take out the LED for the airbag light. That should solve the problem .

Yikes!
That's not good.

I'll be doing the same soon. Trying to swap old MINI seats for new MINI seats. I can't have the passenger side disabled. That wouldn't be cool.
