I have ordered a second MINI (HB/W) and this time it is a regular cooper. It is for my wife. She wanted to have the matching dash and door trim in HB, but as we found out the matching option is only available in the MCS.

So we thought that we could just order the dash/door trim in HB from MINI and have it installed. Can you believe that my MA (not his fault mind you) said that the trim for a MCS will not fit on a MC?

I don't see how the MCS and the MC are any different for the dash/door trim.

Any of you experts out there know anything different from what I am being told?

 

I think your MA hasn't a clue. The safe answer is the one he gave you. I'd recommend that you call a MINI parts dept & ask them. They are sure to know. I'm guessing that it's going to cost you some big $$$ to do the switch. My best guess is that yep they fit.

Has anybody out there ever actually swapped out a dash for another color??? Easy or hard?

 

I know some folks have taken their dash & door pieces & had them painted. Seems like that may be a more cost effective way to go.
