So NPO's can sell things on NAM and don't have to register? What about any other business that makes parts but isn't turning a profit? Can they sell on here untill they are out of the red?

To stay on topic... I still think they look rediculous!

But don't feel bad that gives you RHP > VHP >WHP... I know we all learned are ABC's sometime around kindergarden and that R comes first so it must be better.

yeah but FTR has WHP products too...not just VHP

and AHP (audible horse power) I belive is specific to M7

although that intake on StoopidGirl's Mini is quite loud!

Do the covers easily come off or do you have to take in the whole headrest?

I have been looking for a cover to buy for mine to have embroidered and can't seem to figure out if that is a piece that can be bought seperately.

Thanks Randy.. hey motorsports3, not sure what your beef is here but I was just trying to show off something I thought was cool and was happy to pass on any info or help I can if people want to get it done.

The process is simple as isellem has said.

1. Remove headrest from car
2. Remove material from headrest, it is actually very easy and takes lessa than 1 minute per headrest.
3. bring headrest to your favorite embroidery shop with a copy of the logo you want on disc and have them do the work.

The biggest problem you may find is that you need a CAD freindly file such as an eps file format. The reason for this is if you have a jpeg and try and change the size it distorts the image. An eps file will not distort no matter how large you blow it up or shrink it for that matter.

Most shops charge a small setup fee depending on the file type you bring. If you bring them a jpeg they could charge as much as $75 to redo the file to work with their machine.

I paid $48 (i think) to have my headrests done. They charged me $18 for logo setup and $30 for the actual work. I know the setup was a little bit of a deal and the other part is about right for most people. I do a bunch of my companies work through them so they take care of me.

I am offering pricing as help through my local embroidery shop. I would happily refer you to them. I don't want anything off of this. I would be happy to have you send them your headrests or send them to me to drop off on my way by there..... Just thought I'd spread the love around NAM. I am way too busy with my day to day operation of my company to even try and make a side business out of this so quit the harassment since all I want to do is help.

No beef, you said if someone doesn't like it they better be ready to show up on your doorstep to tell you. I am just meeting your request and still waiting for address.

Then you need to have your local embroidery shop support the NAM community. Just trying to make everything fair. But since none of the current supporters offer embroidery nobody complains. But as soon as a non supported has something that can compete with one of the MINI apostles the mods are all over sending them an e-mail about pushing business withut supporting the site. I have NOTHING to gain from this just trying to level the playing field for any other people on this site that might own/run/work at an upholstery shop.

I understand.

I'm not trying to do anything to make money. The only thing would be to give people a venue for getting something they want done at a good price. It would be more a way to get headrests done at a cheap price based on a discount I get for doing business with these people. I do that for people just to help out much like other discounts I am able to get so I pass them on.

If it something that NAM expects advertising revenue then forget it because I doubt the market is big enough and I am not looking to promote another business. I refuse to get in the middle of that one.

I would love to see someone here on NAM pipe up and say: "hey I work or own an embroidery shop/machine and would like to offer this". By all means go for it! Please give some more options to the people here.

let me know and I'll pm you my address.... You should drive out though so it will be more fun. There is always a spare bedroom available and plenty to do here in Charleston!
