Yeah, so goes my dilemma, now the interior is screaming for more.... But, that is kind of what I expected; you start somewhere and then start working on other areas to pull everything in together.

This car is going to be like my house is; you start with a good foundation and floor plan and then shell out money to make it more to your personal liking.

Anyway, I like it and could not go back to the stock shifter after the feel and look of this one. I just now have to figure out how to get the rest of the interior to work up to it.

My '79 Spitfire has a wooden shift ****. The finish is a little worn off, but the **** itself is just fine. I'll probably pull it out next winter, sand it, and put a few coats of tung oil on. Should be good as new. So, no, I wouldn't worry about how well the wood will hold up.
