Boot handle = that thing above the license plate that is chrome on the Cooper and body color on the S.

The grill looks chrome to me, but I don't know for certain.

I sooo want that exact car, but i dunno about in the US, but if i wanted them wheelsin the UK i would have to buy my mini with the s-lites, then buy the kahn 18's above, have the suspension adjusted and have to then try and sell my s-lites to someone else privatly, stupid and expensive, dissapointing.

I talked to my friend who builds Street Rods here in Phoenix yesterday about painting my arches, side skirts, & front and rear pieces.

He said it would run about $1200 to scuff them up, primer, sand smooth, paint, and clear. He was a little concened about the adhesion, but said he has used some primers and additives to get it to stick well on other plastic parts.

Then I asked about the aero kit....no sanding needed. He said about $700 for painting that. But then there is still the $$$ for the arches.
So either way, I am looking at around $1000-$1500 just for the painting either way. What kind of prices are you guys paying to have them done?

If you did so, did you notice and tint difference in the paint color between the metal parts and the plastic? Usually there is a slight difference.

 

as I said earlier in thread, im paying £400-500 in england, which is bout $750, and thats for an S wihtout the aero kit, painting the sides, arches, front and rear and the mirrors, tho im now going for chrome mirrors. Not getting till june so cant post pics till then.

$400? That's it?

Are you removing them, prepping them, and installing them yourself?

$400 is a great deal.

Are you going body color or black or a combo or both?

 

Here are a couple pics of our DS/W with aero and arches paint DS. I bought the parts from the dealer, and had a paint shop do the paint and install.

 

that looks great, i just contaced my dealer and told them to do it all dark silver for now!! will post pics when i get it back (hopefully friday!!) thanks for your help and keep posting pics of ur minis please!!
