New Little Decals

Hehe, unless you have been into aircooled Veedubs at some point in your life, you have probably never seen these decals before.

Ok, i know, i know, EMPI doesnt make MINI parts or anything, I just love these decals! I had them on my Karmann Ghia and i had to have them on my MCS.

In case you cant read it, it says " Do not lower windows at speeds in excess of 120 MPH"

Good question.

Id assume because of the shape of the VW bug, theres some stability issues at speeds that fast with the windows down.

None of mine would hit 70 with a stock motor, and I dont think I would want to with the 155 tires on it. Geeze I forgot how slow stock VW's are.

With a few mods, they can really scoot. There is a group of racers that have daily drivers that can run in the 11s in the 1/4 mile.

My 2001 1.8T Jetta was low 14's with basic bolt-ons and a chip... the only thing left to do was a downpipe and some other small stuff before a turbo upgrade.

Ahh EMPI...
For all who don't know about air-cooled VWdub capablity....

http://www.cal-look.com/av/av.html
Scroll down to: Mark's Quaife Test

And yes Quaife does have them for vintage bugs... Think a MINI is Quick.

By the way, Shelby's came equipped with the same badge. - Just not EMPI marked.

Also here is a very purist VWdub race club: http://www.derkleinerpanzers.com/ - not some of the times.

I think the sticker is more for cars like this, the famous "Inch Pincher" Bug.

Notice what kind of car its racing in the backround!

Hearts been on a challenger since I was a child. AND that 2009 Dodge Challenger is looking pretty right on, if I can't get my paws on a vintage one.

I have been trying to weasel a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR out of my uncle for a while... It's a sad story really, it's on blocks, and has been. It sure would be a beautiful car to have.

Series Land Rover guys have these too. . . . It's a pretty funny joke for vehicles that can hardly go 60mph downhill. . . .

I got rid of my 73 about 2 years ago now...

White/Black 73 Challenger Rallye with a 69 block 440 (HP2 block)
It was a pretty close to dead on Vanishing Point Challenger, just a 73. Fun car, electrical problems, sold for a VW,

I'll probably get another mopar evenutually, i still have my heart set on an AAR. Maybe after the Mustang is done....

No, but someone was mentioning about a club of Vdubs running 11's, so I thought I post a little history on my Jetta I still miss it, and unfortunately, my MINI right now would gets its behind handed to it on a Dark Silver plate

My girlfriends adopted mother has an all original '79 silver Kharman Ghia Edition Beetle Convertible with 57,000 miles
