MC fuel door on MCS

I know this topic has already been adressed a few times, but I am curious about a few points I have not seen answered in previous discussions.

First, it is often noted that the underpinnings of the MC door are rather flimsy and might not offer an acceptable fit, even from the factory on new MC. Has anyone attempted any fabrication to address this?

Would there be a way to mount an MC door on the MCS hardware to solve this? I don't have my car yet to start the engineering/fabrication that might be necessary so I'm just wondering if anyone has done something other than swapping official parts to smooth over the body line.

Since my primary interest in plannign this mod is a flush body line more than removing excessive chrome work, does anyone have any experience with aftermarket flush chrome doors?

And finally, if it comes down to custom metalwork, where can I get Mini paint? Because if I do it myself, I would really prefer to have it flush AND body-color.

Thanks.
