Looking for owners and pics of this combo!
I am thinking of bonnet stripes for my MCS. I have decided on the shelby stripes, I like the way they go around the scoop and meet the mini logo. I am undecided on the color. Should I be bold and do them in black? Or is the frost on silver a more interesting combo, almost teasing?
Im looking for a good installer in northern or central NJ.

I have to say that whenever I think of a Shelby Stripe on a car, I always think of the 1967 Shelby GT500 in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. With that said, I would go with the black stripes on silver.

 

I doubt frost on pure silver would be visible - go for something else, perhaps dark blue or dark red if you want to be a bit more unusual :smile:

 

The frost looks great on dark colors. And black on PS is an obvious choice. I like the alt color suggestions of blue or red, can you get those in metallic?

The thing with the frost, it looks like etching. I have seen it on other silver cars: mustangs, vettes, and even the new thunderbird. But never on a MINI.

I was hoping someone had the combo. The effect of the frost really depends on the shade of silver.

My MSCa will be complete at the factory on 9/12/05

I think you might want to take into account your interior colors, roof color, wheel choices, etc. before you decide.

For instance, if you have the body color roof, maybe a frost or darker anthracite stripe might look good, especially if you have an anthracite interior. If you went with a blue interior, maybe blue stripes would set it off nicely. If you have the black roof, I think a good choice might be black stripes on the boot & bonnet with the contrasting silver stripe on the roof.

Lots of choices, and no matter what you choose to do, just remember that some people will like it, some will hate it. Ya can't please everyone - just make sure that YOU like it, that's all that really counts.
