Interior/Exterior Painted Calipers
JCW brake owners .... Which paint brand to use for the rear calipers?
I finally got My JCW brakes installed today and want to get the rear brake assembly painted to match. Which brake caliper paint will be the closest match to the JCW red. Yes, in the real world who really cares but I am **** about these trivial details.

If you decide to use the G2 paint - or any other paint that does not use a spray can - and can't find the color you want .... then you can mix colors to get just the color you want; eg. red + yellow = orange.
I do not know about any of you guys, but I went to clean my car today and noticed when cleaning the wheels, that my caliper are starting to chip. One side showing the most. I am using the duplicolor brake caliper paint. When I went to paint the calipers I made sure I clean them really well. The car only had about 4000 miles total. Not sure what is going on. I wish I can touch them up, but the weather is starting to change and it is getting cold here in NJ. Temp. is around 50. Hmmm, kind of sucks that I have to wait until next spring to fix up the calipers. I am thinking of going with a BBK anyway. Will have to see. What do you guys do to repaint your calipers? What do you use to clean them? I really have those oem brake bads!
They dust like crazy!

I finally did mine and thought I would post a few photos. I used the G2 kit and it went on really well. It will look better with my new white Ro-Ja LT5s. I'm still waiting on tires.
I've painted calipers on two different cars. Never masked anything, never disassembled, just took my time, and they turned out great.
Too bad i don't get to see either of the cars i painted anymore.
Thinking about doing my mini's next, but i want something other than the typical red or yellow. Yellow would look good with LY, but i'm thinking purple or something

Thanks for the compliments.
I left the calipers on and just masked them off well. I talked with the lady at G2 and she said it is OK to mix half the paint and half the activator. That would work great for doing two cars. You have between 4 and 6 hours to work with the paint. Afterwards the car has to sit for 24 hours before being driven. I had a little under half a can left that just went to waste. Thanks again Dominicminicoopers for all the tips.
