Racing Seat help

I just installed a single Sparco Rev in my car (ill post pics later) and ran into a few interesting questions

1) im using the sparco sidemount on a custom seat base... the seat belt clip (on the right side) is sitting in the lowest slot on the outside of the seatbase, followed on the inside by the seat... my question is that is there any way i can mount the seat belt clip lower? i can boost up the rear of the seat by one slot to allow one slot at the lowest point to attach the seat belt clip... if so what kinda hardware would i need, locking washer with a self locking nut? if no one understands this one then show me what you did to make the seatbelt clip work, because right now there's a small amount of room on the right side between my waist and the seatbelt

2) the actual seatbelt right now i have it slumped on the side, down to the left seatbelt slot, and then makes a 90 degree turn to the seat belt end... if this makes no sense, imagine the Original seatbelt going down the left side, and makes a turn to the seat belt hole on the left down to the seat belt end bar..

hahaha... ill take pictures of the issues im having if no one understands

they look great! it does answer one question

here's my shots..

in this pic u guys can see that the seatbelt goes through the seat belt slot at the bottom... will this intrude seatbelt operation in stopping me?

in this second picture:

u guys can see that i bolted the seat belt clip to the base frame... but when buckled, one side because of the image above touches well with my waist, the other sides kinda doesnt touch the seatbelt because the seat belt doesn't go into the other slot... u see what i mean?

just a safety quesiton... nothing more

Looks about the same as mine. Not sure what you are still asking?

I see what he's talking about.
Factory lap/shoulder belt is threaded thru the bottom slot of the Sparco Racing Seat and then clips into the seatbelt receiver over the seat.

Yep, that seems to be a problem alright. Try re-routing the lap belt to go over the seat.

Suggest a 5 point harness setup like onasled - in conjunction with a roll/harness bar.

You have discovered one of the problems with a true race bucket seat. These seats are designed for a 5 or 6 point harness, not stock belts.

In California, the stock seats and 3 point harness are DOT approved and work as a unit. If you replace either you can expect a fix-it ticket.

When going with a full race seat you should also have a roll bar and 5/6 point harnesses. This all works as a unit for your protection. In a roll over with a stock seat the back of the seat is designed to break, making you lay down as the roof crumples. If you have race seats you say up right and it's you head that get crumpled. This is why you should always install a roll bar with race seats. There's more to it then this, but you get the idea.

Be safe, install a roll bar. Then you can also mount your harnesses to the bar.
