I have never had a car that the windshield wipers have made such a racket. Is there something I can put on the windows, or take off the windows? Is it the blades? If so, what blades do I buy? Please help!

 

This month's Popular Mechanics (September) has a an article on "keeping your windsheild clean". They say that "chattering wiper blades are often caused by a bent wiper-motor arm. Lay a protectice cloth on the windshield, then use 2 wrenches to twist the arm until the blade sits perpendicular to the glass at the midpoint of the blade's sweep."
I make no guarantee as to their research, but I haven't had any chattering wipers on my car yet, in close to 3 years of driving.
