Challenge rear spoiler?

Does anybody know where you can buy a Challenge Series rear spoiler? I think they look better than the other aftermarket options out there, and due to theur use in a race series I assume they actually serve a purpose.

Not the JCW

Not the JCW in the Motoring File article. The one they really use in the Cooper Challenge series races. The JCW looks too cute to take it seriously. The wings on the Challenge Series cars is the real deal.

You will have to email them to see if they will give you one without being part of the challenge....but they are listed on www.johncooper.co.uk

Shipping might be rough....and sometimes they only sell them to challenge competitors, but its worth a try

Resurrecting an old thread here...

I'm also interested in the Challenge wing for the R53... I agree with the comments above that the Fireballed and M7 wings look a little too much for my taste...

FYI, here's some pics:

The second pic is of Randy's (M7 Tuning) car... not sure if this is the Challenge wing, but it looks close (and different than the normal M7 wing).

Any ideas on if it's possible to get one of these? Clicking the link to JCW's UK website above doesn't seem to work as expected now...

Will the new Challenge wing fit on an R53? I'm thinking not.

The R53 Challenge wing (first pic) is very different than the R56 one, which is more like the JCW GP wing... if you like the R56 one, then M7 has one that's similar (check out their website).

Personally, the R53 Challenge one above is starting to grow on me a lot... less toy-like than the carbon fiber JCW wing that you can get for the R53, but not too crazy like some of the others I've seen previously. I've got a CR/B JCW (06) that would go really nice with it.

blammo, Randy's is an M7 wing. Try shooting them an e-mail and see if they have anymore like that.

The wing on my car is very similar to what we now offer with two exceptions. Our current version has a much better mount system, no drilling required. The second change are the end plates were something I made myself . I wanted a more subtle look and then JCW came out with a very similar version about a month later . Damn copy cats

Thanks for the comments, Randy. I also like the more subtle look of yours vs. the current M7 wing... any idea if it's possible to get one from M7 with end plates like yours (or better yet, like the Challenge wing in the first pic)?

To be honest I just made those at home with a spare piece of CF. I just kept cutting up a piece of cardboard until i got something that looked good. The basic measurments were 7/4 inches with a matching angle cut at either end. If you want I could take one off and trace the shape for you .

3 Years and 4 Months since this thread was started and this is the 15th post.

Have you ever seen the kids in the old Civic coupes with the white primed ground effect kits (unpainted) and the aluminum spoiler screwed to the back end of the car? That is what this spoiler looks like to me.

But that is just me.

Don't forget at least two different wheel styles at the same time and a huge exhaust tip There is something for everyone out there .RandyM7 Tuning

Hi Randy - thanks for the offer to trace the shape. At this point, I'm not sure what I'll get yet, but I'll keep that in mind if it's the M7 version.

I also shot a quick email to the MINI Challenge folks (thanks for the link gnatster), but I don't have high hopes that the Challenge wing will be available to the normal public (or cheap if it is available)...
