Ashtray boost gauge?

Has anyone considered putting the boost gauge in the space currently occupied by the ash tray?
It would not be perfect to see it but seems still like a good space to me.
Thoughts?

Because parking meters in my town charge $.25 for every 6 minutes my ashtray is full of quarters. The companion container holds my garage card key. Sorry.

How about locating the boost gauge on top of the dash the way some racers have their instrument clusters?

Someone who used to go by SMG( i think that was his name....it was way back in 2003) had two gauges in the cupholder areas. It looked pretty cool, and it was perfect if you dont use those spaces.

Holy crap, it is $.25 for every hour here. Are you earning ten times as much too?
:-)

I think it would look cool but question practicality/functionality - especially while driving. Why there?
