Window does not close all the way????

I have noticed a couple times that my window/s are a bit open similar to as if the closing doors the window did not go up.
Anyone else experience that? I am pretty sure that I am not accidently hitting the window open switch.
Thanks
H

Try resetting the feature that cracks the window. Hold the window toggle down for 10 seconds (I think). Search the Beneath the Bonnet forum for answers if this doesn't work.

Keyfob...

Perhaps its not the toggle switch that you are accidentally hitting, but the convenience opening button on your key. If you are holding it too long, or in proximity to the car and it gets pressed in your pocket, it will send the windows a 'blip' in the down position (and your sunroof too, if equipped). Then when you close the door, the window won't index because its not all the way up to begin with.

One possible theory?

When do you notice it? All the time? Then try the reset procedure... It is also described in the owner's manual I believe, but you hold the window toggle switch "up" for more than a second after the window is closed and the door is closed.

If you notice it dropped after you returned to the car and sure they were closed, then probably like Tarzan said (and I have done) something (your finger of something in your pocket) held the unlock button too long as your were walking away or as your were unlocking car upon your return.

Beyond that... it might need a visit to the dealer.

It's all the time. A 2006 is a Gen. 1 MINI, and it doesn't have any reset function for windows. It's definitely not mishandling the key fob.

One theory I have is the door sensor is malfunctioning. A quick search brings up ZERO information on "door sensor" (!!!). Does anyone know where the door sensor is? If I can look at that, I can see if there's something wrong with it.
