so anywho, yea that looks 'kILLer' man.
i feel this 'black out look' looks the best on white cars for sure, (must look even better in person) but also usin' the stock parts to do it w/ sets if off.
mine is in the M7 outfit & love the way it looks but wish it wasn't so thin.
so yours is on point!
...thats flat black. right?

Something about the black grille on light-colored body still makes the MINI look like a fish to me, though. Hmm...I am still undecided on what, if anything, to do with mine.
blow fish mayb!!!

I have installed the black grille on my 2006 MCC. I did it as my first MINI project, just a couple of hours after picking up the car from the dealer (a few pictures of my unmodded car here).
I wanted to remove the original chrome grille parts undamaged so that I can have the option of selling it or reinstalling it in the future. I was able to remove all of the 11 nuts attaching the bonnet grille without breaking any mounting tabs, although it was a slow and tedious process. If I didn't care about preserving the chrome grille, it would have taken just a couple of minutes to cut off the mounting tabs. I had a lot of difficulty removing the grille slat on the bumper, which is attached with industrial strength double stick tape. I applied a lot of force trying to pull it off the adhesive at one end, but it wouldn't budge at all. Finally I gave up the idea of saving the slat, and pried it off forcefully, with some damage.
I installed the black grille and slat, and I think it looks much better (I'm not a fan of chrome). I will post pictures with the black grille.

ta da!
and in the quest of adding more black to the front to appear more "scoopy" in a rear view mirror...I bought an additional hood scoop and plan on painting it black. Downtown MINI had a DS scoop and I installed it...looks like a poor man's carbon fiber
I am considering a black "Checkmate" or is it "Seven" stripe on the hood OR dual stripes that come down around the scoop and meet at the MINI marque. More pics in my gallery!
