Bra for MCS 05 with Aero Kit?

After searching the forum and asking my mini dealership, I still can't find anyone that has found or makes a black bra for the MCS 05 with Aero kit. The clear bra is a little pricey for me and I really just want the bra to put on for long drives across the desert. Anybody have any luck finding such an item? Thanks!

At least the clear bra won't hide your aero kit like a black one will, AND, I have heard that the black ones allow dust, etc. to accumulate underneath...thus potentially ruining your paint job over time.

If your aero kit was painted by the dealer's bodyshop, i would not
recommend you get the black bra. those aftermarket paint is so
darn soft it will most-likely scuff it up very badly...that's why
i invested in the Xpel clearbra. no more chips, etc.

very good stuff.

We have a couple bras for MINIs with Aero Kits. Take a look here.

There are steps you can and should take when using bra that will preserve the paint underneath:

Install the bra on a freshly washed car. A good coat of wax up front is a good thing.

Always make sure the backing of the bra is clean before installing.

Remove the bra if it gets wet. Let it dry off the car.

Thanks

What is a reasonable price for the clear bra? I was quoted around $400 for the front bumper and mirrors. Thanks for the help.

When I had mine applied, I got the bonnet and bumper areas, as well as the mirrors. I think the mirrors were a gyp, as they have had to replace the ill-fit "puckered edge" ones twice now. If I had to do it over again, I'd stick with just the bonnet and bumper areas and save some money. Really, THOSE are the areas that get the crap knocked out of them, anyway.

I only have the bumper clearbra and honestly, ive only had some
very small hits on the bonnet. I have almost zero scratches and no
scratches on the mirrors.

I did encounter larger chips on the side skirt near the rear faux
vent area and around the front fender area. I used the excess
Xpel sheet and just made my own clearbra for those areas.

my tip: save the excess! it comes in very handy.
