rear bumper protector

hey i just received today my rear bumper protector from prestige mini... it came with the protector, a little baggie of green stuff (i'm assuming soap) and a plastic thing (squeegie?). has anyone put this on themselves yet? pretty much all i need to know is how much water to mix the soap solution in, and how long it takes to dry. of course any other tips would be appreciated as well!

thanks a bunch
christina.

On the box it states the parts department needs to print out an instruction sheet. Did they? All the info is on there on how to install.

That's weird. I got mine from Prestige and the instructions came with the install.

Anyhooo, here's a write up I did of the bumper protector on nemni.org:

http://nemini.org/Forums/viewtopic/t=2654.html

You will need to mix the green stuff with water in a spray bottle (like a Windex one but empty!) and then clean the bumper, spray the mixture onto both the bumper and the strip, and then install. It dries within a few minutes - the idea behind spraying the goo is that it allows you to move the protector into place - the green stuff is actually adhesive....You use the squeegee to push out the excess water once the protector is aligned, and it'll dry in no time.

hey thanks a bunch lordoftheflies! this is exactly the info i was looking for. looks good on your car, too. i'm using it to cover up existing scratches (well, gouges) and prevent more!
