wow ummm. I just looked at some pictures and A. I want this asap when I get my new mini with NAV

Those install pics scare the living god out of me.

So what units have people tried that are giving them motion? Can you say have Italian Job on?

Today I talked to Avetronics about this. they have a system, DVD/TV tuner, DVD, remote, all wiring, a switch, back up camera, and antenna for 600.00.
They said it was an "in motion" but since that is illegal they dont talk about it. TV and Nav to go said the module would be 350.00 and the dve with tv tuner 195. The antenna is 75.00, switch and wiring included . I forgot to ask if an fm modulator is needed. Avetronics said if I didnt want the back up camera take 200 off.

 

Often times you can just choose not to connect the wire that overrides the "not in motion" function. My NavTV unit came with the wire, and also a toggle switch that you can instal instead.

You can pick up a DVD player with TV tuner and remote for around $100 if you shop around on-line, I got a Pyle and am happy with it, and the antenna should only cost $20-$40 as well. Thpough TV is moving cars never really works well, only when parked.

 

Although this thread is 2 years old, I still want this!!!

It is mucho technical and scares me as well, but I want it!!!

Any recommendations for the easiest way to get this? Will the Mini dealer install the back-up camera?

I'm lost, but trying to find my way...
