Found this center console storage bin online and thinking about buying it. Does anyone out there have it? Does it fit right? Is it worth $25+ S & H??

I have it and love it. Whe you receive it you may be dissapointed at first. (I was) But, installed it really is hard to believe that it didn't come with the car.

I went with the same priced one from Moss; no complaints but the one you show here looks a little nicer because it has fabric. The Moss one is just hard plastic.

From the same website does anyone have the center armrest? http://www.aiwana.com/Merchant/merch...y_Code=miniint
do you like it and does it interfere with shifting? What about color and material?

..Gap,
You might want to start a new thread for your armreast question with something like "TVA arm rest" as the title, you'll probably get more responses that way.

I have the "Hot Pocket" storage unit. It's great!

You don't even have to use the supplied double sided velcro tape to install it. The unit fits nicely without gumming up the works!

You won't be disappointed.

MindTheGap, P&W actually has one of these installed in a car on the showroom floor. It is decent placement overall - doesn't appear that it would affect shifting, and it is where my elbow would naturally rest.

I wasn't thrilled with the way it attached however (elastic straps). Not that it was bad, but it was a little - how to say? - unrefined? I think I would opt for the one that is mounted to the rear cupholder and has the storage compartment, even though it is a little more expensive and requires a small hole be drilled. We both know someone that has this installed, too - check your mail!

I have one and it works great.(TVA Hot Pocket) You don't have to use the velcro, it fits and stays without it. The sliding center arm rest that attaches in the back cup holder is also a great product. It's expensive ($169 from r-speed) but really adds a lot of looks and function IMHO.

I'm thinking of getting this, but I've also velcroed my garage door opener to the bottom of the toggle switch unit (thanks to someone's suggestion on this site). Anyone know if that will get in the way of the Hot Pocket?

BTW, this site is great! I'm spending way too much time here but loving it!

I have the garage door and gate opener velcroed under there as well. In the new Moss catalog there is a storage bin that is plastic and smaller then this other one. It screws into the existing screw that is there and there should be enough room to be able to reach the openers.

Rumor is that there will be an actual MINI center console coming soon. Whether it can be retro-fit I'm not sure. Also on a similiar note if someone is looking for more storage I highly recommend the driverside shelf: http://www.bridger.us/mini/?Y=2003&M=01&D=15&TitleID=What'sTheBes tModYou'veDoneToYourMINI

I got the hot pocket almost from day one. It's great and you'll appreciate the storage so stuff isn't rattling around in your doors "map Pockets". Next up is the glovebox organizer for a supreme **** being like me!
