Sun Roof Screen

Does anyone make a sun roof screen to replace the stock one. I would like one that will block all of the sun out. Being in Phoenix, AZ you can see why!

Have you ever considered to have the sunroof tinted? Tint will help block alot of the sun, and keep the car cooler.

Makes ya wonder why you got a sunroof, doesn't it I'm in Tampa, and I thought I would need more screen or more tint...but not only don't I have a problem with the stock screen - I almost always drive with it open anyway!

You can also go with a vinyl graphic over the sunroof, or just a perforated or solid white vinyl application (you did get the white roof, right?).

I have the darkest tinting offerred, in combination with the screen it does a decent job... altho I just drove from houston, TX to Key West, FL and back and the sun can get a little warm... but the AC does a good job...

The solution is coming!

We have a new mod for this that I'm testing right now. Should be out in a month or so ...right at the height of the summer

If you want to hear when it comes out, get on our mailing list at www.motorswag.com and click on the 'request info' link.

If you don't want to black out the sunroof, you could use a "Ceramic" tint. I think this is the original stuff. Sunguard, and others make their own too:

Ever see how the windows on new Benzes have the blue cast to them. They use this stuff. It blocks out as much heat as Limo black.

Dave.

At AMVIV this year I picked up a couple Zippee Shades. They are just thin, reflective pieces that utilize suction cups to stick to the glass. I don't care if I can't see out of the sunroof. I already notice a difference with less heat, but then again, it's not July and 115 yet so we'll see.

Cool product though. They fold right up and you can put them behind your seat for easy storage. You can check them out at zippeegear.com or go on eBay and just type in "Mini Cooper Zippee Shade" and see them there too.

although i sold mine. I liked the zippee shades. I went with tint because i didnt like removing them, and stowing them away while I was already on the road.
