The Helix cover only covers up about 2 inches on the sides.

Harbor Freight sells a small mover's blanket which fits the back of a Mini quite well. I tuck it under the headrests in the front and it hangs over the tailgate a few inches. Also up the sides a couple inches. They're $4.99 each & two will cover anything you want. I find them indispensible. Better than the mat extension I have.

That looks like quite the deal! What a bargin!

How does the Mini mat extension stay attached to the back of the rear seat? Someone else in this tread said it wouldn't stay up any more?

The mat extension simply lays on top of the seat back when down. It does not attach and you have to figure what to do with it when you put the seat backs up. (?) it isn't designed to stay attached when seats are up & latched.

The blankets are the simplest & cheapest solution. They fold up neatly in the boot.

[QUOTE=Edge]FYI, I actually ordered the OEM "protective boot cover" from my dealer on Wednesday. This is the same one pictured on top in Mini2Go's post above. I'll post on feedback once I get it.

Did you get it? How do you like it? Can you describe it for us?
