Yes, this is exactly what it is.

Actually, I have the S's blacked out and the side markers are tinted. You cant tell from that angle though. I think it looks better than the Cooper inserts.

I will have the Cosworth car at the event which has the blue M7 scoop installed. Come SEE the scoop and HEAR the AGS

If I can get back from the bay area and catch peter before he leaves for Hawii this week, I will have my Chili Red scoop installed for the Steve's install party. In the meantime, here is a photo I took of MINISS' Cosworth car. I believe it is a better representation of the scoop's true profile.

Cool, I will be there early. Cant wait to see it in person. I bet it looks less intence that the picture shows, does it blend in when you are looking at the car from a normal stance? I will see it on sunday. Thanks !

I don't know what you mean by blend but it looks like a factory part. Non-MINI people would never guess that it is aftermarket because it is done so well.

Well Deltman and Rick now that you saw the scoop in person any thoughts? The damn thing does work as far as cooling the intercooler but the look is not for everyone.

I think it looked pretty good, and it definatly does a job keeping the intercooler cooler.

I doesnt have that big subi lool like it does in the picture, the picture makes it look much bigger and less fluid than it really is. It is still going to be an item of personal choice, but it is definitly FUNCTIONAL !

Randy, you know I liked it since I am getting one from you. Just let me know when and where to pick them up so I can take them to the painter.

I think it looks sweet, ill definitly be ordering one once I get my MCS. Seems like it would get alot more air through the intercooler as well. I guess im used to hoodscoops tho since ive had an impreza for the last 5 yrs lol

M7 Hood scoop are nice but I think they should come in CF so we don't have to have it paint. Save some money there.

We are looking into a CF option but unfortunatly I think the added cost of the CF would offset any non paint savings. We will let you know.

I lurked around Steve's event for a hour or so and saw this scoop in person. It took me almost 10 minutes to realize that the scoop was different on the blue cosworth car. Not that I don't pay attention to detail, it just looks like it belongs on the car. I, too, thought it looked out of place from the first pic or two posted on the forums - but after seeing it in person, I would own one. As far as the link to that simulated carbon fiber stick on scoop... You want to stick out like a sore thumb? Buy that one.

Matt

BTW - I have no affiliation to M7 nor have I ever purchased anything from them so I'm as objective as it gets...

I can gauranty you won't save any money getting it in Carbon Fiber

Gelcoated fiberglass is much cheaper, even painted most likely.

Extreme Hood Scoop Profile

All this talk about the M7 Extreme Hood Scoop's profile is pretty funny. I look at it this way...

I'm looking at it from behind..great looking from there. The person I'm gaining on is seeing the agressive front-on look...looks awesome from there. So the only one who is going to see the profile is the person I just passed.

Got my M7 scoop Friday and stuck it on the hood this last weekend. Really a very nice looking scoop that indeed looks much better in person. Did some mods though. PM me if you care to know.
