I finally got and installed my euro style with amber turn lens. (Sorry, no pics yet.) I LOVE them! I'm a big fan of amber = turn and red = brake.

Since my car is PW and will soon have orange stripes (I've got them, they're just not installed yet), I preferred the amber turn vs. the clear with amber bulb on my car.

Ordered from newministuff - quick and painless. Even with shipping, it really doesn't cost much more than buying new OEM lenses from a dealer here in the US.

Painless and blindingly fast--three cheers for Royal Mail.

Now the dumb question: I just got mine, but there are no instructions for removing and replacing the lenses. It looks like I need to just remove the clip inside the panel to detach the power connection and the part that holds the bulbs. Then there is a threaded post with a nut on it. Logic suggests to me that if I remove the nut I will be able to push the taillight out the back of the car. Is this true? Could someone please give me idiot instructions? Thanks.

You've got it! It really IS that simple. It only took me about 5 minutes - most of the time was unscrewing the nuts.

It was conceptually simple, indeed. There are also two spring clips on the outboard side of each lamp assembly. If I had not had the replacement assemblies for reference, I'm not sure I would have figured this out. At any rate, I have big hands and it was a royal pain getting to these clips--it's harder on the right side because the HK amp gets in the way. Once done though, no problems. Definite improvement. Cost was about $171 for the pair, including shipping via air mail from England (took all of 2 days!).

I just installed my new taillights from newministuff.com. I love the look of the euro light I got mine with the clear signals. Now I'm thinking about pulling off the clear outer lens and painting all the unnecesarry red black, I think I will try it on my old ones first.

Just ordered a set for my MCS. I got the 05 euro's with the amber turn signals. This was an expensive thread to read.

I just got my Euro spec tail lights today. Picked them up at the post office & had them installed in a half hour. What a nice change they make. I got the ones that are amber on top not clear. I also ordered a MINI first aid kit & safety warning triangle. Ordered on 2-19-06 & delivered to me 2-28-06. Great service from https://www.newministuff.com/new/sho...uctshow&id=184
