Did a search and found a few pics, but much more discussion on which % is best and legel for certain areas.

Can you show me your tints? I'm looking at getting 35% or 50% all around (except windshield) on my CR/B MCS. Thanks for all of your help!

Thank you everyone! I was toying with 50%, but I really enjoy the 35% look on your cars. I like the darker tints, too, but I definitely think I want it to be more subtle to keep cops' attention to a minimum.

2percooper and Misfitoy - you have achieved the exact look that I want in that your tint provides a nice complement to your black roof.

I'm in the Dirty Jerz, so by going 35% all around, I run the risk of a 40$ (I think) ticket and failing inspection in 2009. Welp, thanks again!

you see, here in AZ, it's a must to go at least 20%. the cops don't care based on the heat and sunlight factor.

 

We're not allowed tint in Michigan either except the top 4 inches But fortunatly there are plenty of guys around here with 5% limo tint to keep cops too busy to notice me:smile:

 

I think the same goes here in Illinois. I have yet to get pulled over for having tint and no front plate.../knocks on wood.

 

You can check my site for pics but I am running 20% all the way around. I live in SC where the cops are supposed to be bad but the last car I had was 20% front windows and 5% the rest of the way. No car I have owned over the past 10 years has had anything higher than %20. My work van even has limo tint (2 or 3% can't remember) and the police have been at the van (it is all black with no windows other than the front windshiled and passenger, driver windows) and not complained.

I have yet to ever have an issue with the police but I am not sure how your area is.

Good luck and at least go as dark as you legally can!

I be in jerz as well, went with 35 front, 15 back, 25 rear. The guy at the shop said cops usually only care about the front windows. The thing is, there is no official statute in Jersey for tint. I work for cops around the state, have asked numerous ones, and have been told, that they usually cite for obstruction of view, but the way the statute is written is doesn't really apply. Only cops I hear are major jerks about it are some Monmouth County guys (along route 35/36 area, Middletown/Hazlet to be precise). They pulled me over once for it, had to drop some names and a PBA card to get outta it.

Also got the smoked tails, and side markers, very stealthy!

Where abouts are you, shoot me a PM, if you are in the area I had mine done (philly/camden area), I could suggest a decent shop.

 

Heres mine with 5% on the sides and rear window.

 

I've got 5% on mine (Limo) here in Ohio where anything more than 50% is illegal. You also have to remember that the windows are factory tinted so any film you put on them is the "plus factor" so most of the time 35% is "close" to legal in most states.

I risk the $72 fine every day, then again, I also don't run a front plate, drive too fast and do other things that make the tint sometimes the least of my violations

I'm such a sissy, or I'd do 5% limo, but I'm afraid I won't see ****, in the winter the sun goes down and it becomes dark at 3pm so I don't think it would be so good, I'm thinking about 20% though.
