Backstory, owned a subaru impreza sport limited for a decade which had these seats. Was never happy with the factory mini seats so decided to make some changes.
Picked up the subaru seats for dirt cheap 200$ cad,
- the front seat mounts had to be modified on one side to allow the mount to pivot over 1/2" as the subaru seat is wider
- the mini belt buckle bolted right up, after slight trimming of the plastic around that area, have to re-use the subaru bolt as its larger then the mini and longer.
- rear mounts were cut completely off, as they lift the seat and simply will not work on the mini. still solving this part....
- they do have seat warmers which can be wired up, thats another story for another day.
Super pleased with the look and especially the cost... will update once rear mounting is figured out!

Those look like a nice complement to the R53 interior, both in color and in design- great choice! Good luck on the mounting, and please post a follow-up when you have it sorted to your satisfaction.
If you have them in and out of the car again, it would be interesting to learn the relative weight compared to the original Mini seats.
