Child seats/Forward facing
Child seats/Forward facing
I've searched and most threads discussing child seats are for newborns and rear facing car seats. How about a thread for those of use anxiously awaiting to recover some front seat passenger leg room with a forward facing car seat?
I've been looking at the local stores but nothing catches my eye. Safety is priority but since it will be used longer than a rear facing I would like something a littly stylish. Something that looks good in the MINI. Also something comfortable and supportive for trips or the daily curvy road to pick up some milk.
So far the only one I've come across is the Recaro Young Sport. Safe, stylish and as they put it "the extra large side protection shell provides additional support when cornering".
The price is up there though. $250. At that price I would like to see what else is being used by others.
So, lets see those forward facing seats.

Howdie Steve. I went the cheap route (2 ya know.). Bought them close-out from Baby Depot for under $100. A bit of a slightly more padded booster seat.
Either Evenflow or Graco,..can't remember. Anyway after some thought I figured that the closer their butt is to the actual seat, the further their feet are to the back of your seat. Remember too that the longer the car seat seat is the longer it will be until their knees bend. Think how it'd be if you sat in the back and couldn't bend your knees.
