I just finished up recovering my front driver seat for my R53.
I recall seeing this purple plastic retainer clip behind one of the lower side plastic covers just below one of the the seat bolsters, during disassembly.
I neglected to take a photo of it in place at the time and now have no idea where or what it's purpose.


Any ideas?

Looks like it might be a wire or clip holder.

 

Ah- Oh well.
I'm not overly concerned as I would have noticed if it was retaining anything (cable or wire) of great importance.
Overlooking and left over parts really annoys the heck out of me.

 

Doesn’t even look like a MINI part, never seen a lavender colored part anywhere on the car.

Purple/lavender? - yeah, pretty strange. I agree.


Interesting enough; it does have "LH" embossed on it's inner side.

I think as I now recall; it may have been factory affixed to the outside curve of the lower seat frame just above the forward and back seat adjuster, behind the plastic panel.

What is it's purpose? - not a concern but still remains a mystery to me.
