2012 R60 parking lights

Can anyone tell me what parts i would need to replace the parking lights with real fog lights?
I think i would need a bezel and a new bracket for each side? And most likely other stuff like supports/screws?

Can anyone be so kind to share this information with me? And if you can also give part numbers that would be extra special of you

My goal is to replace the very weak parking lights it came with, with LED fog lights.
I am aware i would need to suppress the warnings, that much i know how to do.

hello,

I have these on my MINI, best ones out there I feel. It only works for cars WITH factory fog lights.

You snap the lights into the factory brackets, then piggyback the wires and you are done.

MINI nla the factory kits that used to be like the ones above.

ETK diagram: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=63_1246

Number 2 snaps into number 6. Number 2 you get in our aftermarket kit with plugs and wires. It will be photographed when it lands

If.. you only have parking lights and NO fogs its like this: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/63129802199/

This is you only option:

I need to disagree with your statement being the only option is parking lights.
If you know how to do simple coding using datens you can put any lights you want. (City lights)

I believe the concern was if they will fit, and it looks like they will. Not sure about brackets and trims tho.

The factory wiring might not be there for the fog lights, but you could easily run some power wires to get them illuminated. The parking only housings are one piece integral with the brackets. The fog light housings are separate from the bracket. If you have the parking light only housings, just need to get some brackets for the fog lights. Then, just need to figure out the wiring.

Yea, the wiring is not there for the parking lights only (just the parking lights/position lights wire), also no switch to turn the fog lights on in the toggle bank.

I took apart the center dash and deed the switch module with the fog light button.
Based on the LED DRL/FOG factory instructions (found here) it says to wire it to the FRM harness X14261 pin 12.

My issue is there is already something wired to that pin on that connector. I never had fog lights, just the weak parking lights.
I'm not sure what to do now. Should i just tap it into the existing wire? I wish i knew what the heck is wired there (from factory, i am the only owner).

I figured since adding in the toggle bank module which has the fog light toggle button, and wiring this correctly to the correct pin on the FRM, the toggle switch for the fog should work. Am i wrong?

By chance does anyone have a pinout for the X14260/X14261 for the R60?

The FRM pin 12 connection is for the DRL option on those LED lights. The module needs this trigger to illuminate the halos. The fog lights are triggers by either A4/5 or A7/8 connectors. (One of those is for the parking lights, the other is for the fog lights) Since those instructions are for the retrofit kit, it relies on you already have the fog light option. If your car did not come with the fog light option, you will still have to come up with a trigger for the fog lights.

I was starting to figure that out, which is not what i wanted to do.

What i really am trying to figure out is what wires control the fog light switch in the switch bank.
It's easy to replace the parking lights for DRLs, just use the old plug for the parking lights and resplice it to the new plug.

I would like to control the main light of the LED fog lights using the fog light button in the switch bank. That is my primary goal.

I ended up getting the wiring diagram for the R60. It's about 2000 pages long, i know a little when t comes to electronic diagrams. But this one is way above my head.
I was hoping it would help me make sense of how the switch bank with the fog lights sends the signal to turn on/off the front fogs.
So far i'm still trying to make it make sense in my head.

Where is A4/5 or A7/8? Is this the code designation for the wires going into the switch bank for the fogs/sport/etc buttons?
If so, where do those wires lead?

Does anyone know what the factory wires for the fog light button in the dash center console are? How would i locate them?
I am almost positive the switch bank is wired for any switch that is included in whatever bank module you install and code in.

I just have no idea of the schematic for the fog light button in that switch bank.
If i could somehow get that info, i can make it work.

My end goal with the parking light to led fog light swap is like this;
The halo in the fog light assembly will be run like how the parking lights were run, basically like DRL's.They will be on whenever the headlights are on.
The center bulb in the fog light assembly will only be powered on when the fog light button is pushed using the OEM fog light button that is located in the dash center console switch bank module.

My issues remain;
The original dash center console switch bank module did not have a fog light button.
I replaced it with a module that does have the fog light button.
I have no idea how that button works exactly.
I have tried and tried to scour the internet that info and can find absolutely nothing on it. I even got a 3000 page wiring diagram for the 2012 R60 Justa. And in that i could not even find this info.

If you have this information, be a chap, please help a fellow MINI Enthusiast out

So i found the VO for the fog lights are $520.
That just needs to get programmed in using ncsexpert.

Now i need to find how to code in the replacement switch bank and still need to find the factory fog light wiring schematic.
