Interior/Exterior Changing to the multi-function steering wheel

Changing to the multi-function steering wheel

I was wondering about people changing the steering wheel on thier minis. How do you hook up (lets say) an 04 or 05 wheel with all the radio and cruise control functions to an 02 mini without those functions and have everything work properly?
