I’ve been asked by other local MINI owners within the last year if the ‘21 F55/56 have the bulbs and wires for the rear fog lights pre-installed and I have always answered with I’m not sure. Some service advisors say “yes” and some say “no”
When Nick and I installed the rear diffuser we found that yes, the wiring and bulbs are in place which got me on the let’s enable the rear fog lights path.
Searched our forums and found all the information needed.
- Body Controller > Expert Mode >
LCEmaster change > NSL_Verbaut to Verbaut
- LCELampMapping3 changes
> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_ouput to nsl_l
> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_Function to nebelschlusslicht
> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output to nsl_r
> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_Function to nebelschlusslicht
Installation of the replacement light switch took about five minutes (no tools required, just pulling off panel and switch with fingers) and coding took about two minutes.
For coding I used the Kies Motorsports WiFi ENET Adapter, because it’s Wi-Fi based it’s much quicker then Bluetooth and it’s never dropped a connection. I’ve owned it for a couple of months now and don’t have one complaint!

Turned off the MINI and started again… rear fog light are functional
They look great and should be helpful during the winter months.
I hope this post helps anyone looking to enable the rear fog lights
Have a great night and happy motoring,
Rich

hey Rich, would appreciate that. Having a heck of a time with these taillights. Nervous about coding because I have never done it before.
I apologize for it taking a little while but here's a thread on another forum about coding third-party tail lights and sequential turn signals. I don't know if that's what you're looking to code but VLand is mentioned.
Everything I see about the Vland tail lights says no coding is necessary. This from the Vland website :
"The items have the same connections and wires with the original taillights. It is plug and play"
