Need help installing Momo Shift ****.

I pulled the stock **** off, and put on the Momo. But it is sitting too high on the stock stem. Do I have to cut it to make it shorter?

Thanks!

I dont know about. I would use a drummel or sothing of that nature, holding the shaft tight with a smoething spread out to protect you from getting palsitc ash everywhere. The hacksaw will put a lot of strain on the shaft and could bend something.

MOMO Install

I have a MOMO Combat installed in my '04 Chili Red/Black MCS. I was able to drop the **** down to the approximate heigth of the stock ****. First I used a Dremel to reduce the diameter of the stock collar. I then took the MOMO collar and using a drill press and Unibit, I enlarged the MOMO collar to fit down on the stock shaft. I was then able to drop the MOMO **** down on the stock shaft quite far. Now, when I grab the shifter, I'm actually grabbing it lower than I would on the stock ****. Anyway, to each their own, I really like the way the Silver MOMO Combat matches the interior. Happy Motoring in the New Year!

I have the exact same ****. What I did was to machine out the inside of the aluminum Momo collar to fit over the ridge on the factory shift rod. Then you can move the **** down to sit squarly on the ridge, tighten it up and then move the clollar up. Fits great, looks great, and best of all, feels great. DO NOT cut the rod!
If you don't have access to a lathe, some personal time with a dremil and grinding attachment will work to.

Looks good. I was going to say...just pull your boot up all the way
to the little ridge as you have on your hacked picture. I didn't hack
mine.
